Clinical Field & OR Specialist
Fixed-Term, 6 Months
Would you like to make a meaningful contribution to patient care by helping advance the future of
microsurgery? Microsure is seeking an experienced, hands-on clinical professional to join our team for an
approximately six-month assignment.
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the clinical implementation and use of our MUSA-3
microsurgical robotic system at partner hospitals in Germany. You will be a visible representative of our clinical
team in the operating room, providing hands-on support during live surgical cases, training surgeons and
operating theatre teams, and ensuring they feel confident and well supported in using the system.
You will also serve as an important point of contact for hospital teams, addressing clinical and study-related
questions, supporting site communication, and helping ensure smooth coordination of ongoing clinical
activities. Alongside your hands-on responsibilities, you will contribute to maintaining strong relationships with
partner sites and keeping relevant documentation and follow-up activities up to date.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In the OR / Clinical Field Support (primary focus)
- Provide hands-on clinical and technical support during surgical procedures using the MUSA-3 microsurgical robotic system.
- Support surgeons and OR teams before, during, and after procedures, including training, in-servicing, and case-readiness.
- Troubleshoot device and workflow issues in real time and escalate to the appropriate internal teams.
- Build strong relationships with surgeons, OR teams, and hospital stakeholders. Support case scheduling and site coverage across assigned hospitals.
Clinical Site & Study Support
- Serve as the point of contact between active trial sites and the internal clinical and technical team.
- Support site initiation, monitoring visits, and routine site communications for ongoing studies.
- Flag and help resolve data queries or deviations, routing detailed analysis to the core clinical affairs team as needed.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of site activity, case logs, and correspondence.
Field Engagement
- Represent Microsure professionally at partner sites, congresses, or training events as needed.
- Gather structured field feedback from surgeons and staff and relay it to product, quality, and clinical teams.
- Support post-market surveillance activities and adverse event reporting per company procedure.
- Contribute to internal handover notes to ensure continuity when the permanent post-holder returns
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
- Prior experience in a clinical field specialist, clinical applications, or OR support role within medtech,
med device, or surgical robotics. Or OR nurse with robotic experience. - Comfortable and confident working live in an operating room / sterile environment.
- Working knowledge of clinical trial processes (GCP, informed consent, site documentation).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly with surgeons and OR teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including occasional overnight trips.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal day-to-day supervision across multiple sites
Nice to Have
- Prior experience specifically within the microsurgery field and robotic surgical platforms.
- Clinical background (e.g., theatre nurse, surgical tech, physician assistant, biomedical engineer) with direct OR exposure.
- Existing familiarity with GCP/ICH guidelines and clinical data systems (EDC).
- A valid driver's license and willingness to use own or company vehicle for site travel.
- German language skills, to support sites and stakeholders in German-speaking markets.
